About NCS

Frequently Asked Questions

Does National Credit Solutions report to credit?

Yes.  Once your accounts are placed with our office for the required 30 days NCS will report to credit bureaus for a period of 7 years starting from the date of last activity.  The sooner you place your accounts the better.

What is a charge off date?

The charge off date is six months from the date of delinquency, or the date of last activity on the account.  We can report to credit for seven years from this date.  If litigation is a request this date will affect the timeframe in which we can pursue legal action.  The statutes of limitations for lawsuits vary from state to state.

Does National Credit Solutions obtain judgment or have the ability to garnish a consumer?

National Credit Solutions is able to obtain judgments and liens.  We have a network of attorneys that process and file these judgments and liens when requested by your company.

Will National Credit Solutions garnish a consumer without my authorization?

No.  If required we can consult with you before obtaining judgment.

What should I expect as a return on my accounts?

Depending on the type of account or credit issued, the timeframe in which your delinquencies occurred and the amount of activity you have pursued on these accounts your company can anticipate a return of 10%-35%.   Some of our clients receive a higher percentage.  This return rate is, on average, higher than the collections industry as a whole.  Our current clients, on average, fall within that range.

Is National Credit Solutions licensed and bonded?

National Credit Solutions is licensed and bonded in the majority of US states.  The handful of states in which NCS is not licensed will be provided to you upon request.
The reason we chose not to license in this small amount of states is due to the stringent laws and costs of doing business in those states.  Our company’s decision was based on a risk assessment as these states generally allow for more litigious consumers.

Does National Credit Solutions accept older accounts?

Yes.  NCS will accept old accounts.  Charge off dates, however, do affect our ability to credit report and alter your return rate.  Although the older accounts can be a lower recovery rate than recent accounts, recovery rates remain high.  Many of our most lucrative accounts are older.

Does National Credit Solutions buy accounts?

Yes. National Credit Solutions buys delinquent and charged off accounts.

What information is required to collect from a consumer?

National Credit Solutions will need all the information you have on record about the consumer.  The more information you have available the more likely we can get into contact with them.  Although it is not a requirement, contracts and remittance agreements are great starting points.  You may contact us at 405.778.6612 to discuss this in further detail.

Is there a placement minimum?

National Credit Solutions specializes in business collections from large and small businesses.  We have various departments that specialize in meeting your company’s needs.  The contingency rate can be affected by the amount of accounts that you place, but no number is too big or too small.
